My dad Arthur
There are lots of photos of my dad Arthur but I chose this one of him as I know he loved it too.
There is great energy in this photo of him as a young boy – and he always had great energy. So this was during a particularly heavy snowfall one winter and with his equally adventurous friends they headed on the tram from Clontarf to Howth Summit in north Dublin.
Howth was and is very hilly so a great spot for downhill sledding. All his life he loved the outdoors and played all sorts of sports. Appreciation of the outdoors is something he definitely passed on to me.
