PODCAST: The innovative and creative New Zealand club that brings together seniors via DIY coffins.
Katie Williams is the inspirational and delightful founder of the amazing Kiwi Coffin Club. Its tagline is ‘Makers of Fine, Affordable Underground Furniture’. There are now clubs opening across New Zealand and Australia with the purpose of bringing together seniors to have a bit of craic together but also to provide a space to design, make and decorate their own coffins. The original club in Rotorua, NZ also makes special tiny coffins for the babies that don’t survive being born. The club is now the subject of an uplifting and award-winning ‘musical documentary’, The Coffin Club. It’s been made by innovative New Zealand documentarians Loading Docs.
